Seamus McCann: Chairman of ConsultingIreland and Director ASTEC Global Consultancy

Seamus McCann is Chairman of ConsultingIreland, an initiative to help Irish companies win business in international markets by providing strategic input, practical training and support to member organisations from both the Public and Private sectors. ConsultingIreland is also part of a growing international network including Regional Government Agencies and Chambers from France, Italy, Norway and Spain.

ConsultingIreland works primarily with the major International Financing Institutions (IFIs) such as the European Commission, EIB, EBRD, Islamic Development Bank and World Bank, developing policy and strategy, public procurement and implementation for Governments in the Developing and Emerging Markets.
He is also a Founder and Director of ASTEC Global Consultancy which is engaged in the ICT and Financial Services sectors for over 30 years. The company provides strategic and technical advice to Foreign Governments and the major IFIs. This work includes writing the tenders that appear on the official sites of the EC, UN and World Bank.
Seamus has significant experience in project management and practical consultancy expertise gained throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Seamus is a qualified accountant and holds a Degree in Business Studies and Accounting from University of Ulster.
