Soonjoo Kwon

Soonjoo is a Korean National based in Ireland for thirteen years – who along with her sister based in Korea – own and manage an international education consultancy company.

This involves liaising daily between Irish third-level educational instructions and Korean clients.

Soonjoo has vast and up-to-date knowledge of the educational systems in both Korea and Ireland.

Having achieved an engineering degree from University of Seoul, she has maintained her contacts in civil engineering in Korea. She has continued her education since coming to Dublin.

She has a vast network among Koreans in Ireland and strong connections in Korea.

Prior to the Pandemic, her company hosted an education fair for Irish Education Institutes in Seoul sponsored by the Embassy of Ireland in Korea. Soonjoo had been the president of the Korean Society of Ireland from 2018 to 2020.

She is key to promoting study in Irish Colleges for foreign and in particular Korean / Asian students.

Soonjoo holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) Engineering –  University of Seoul,  Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Accounting – Institute of Technology – Carlow and Master of Arts (M.A) Education – University College Dublin UCD.
